Our Team
At Christchurch we believe that everyone has a role to play in the family life of our church – we all have different gifts and skills that God can use in a wide variety of ways – from helping with children’s work, serving teas, playing in the worship band, operating the PA equipment or supporting others in prayer – these are just examples of how God can use us.
We also have an established Staff Team who lead and manage the Church on a day to day basis, praying and meeting together regularly to seek God’s will and to plan programmes and events.
Martin Burrell is our Minister. Martin came to lead Christchurch in March 2009, is married to Margareta and has 2 grown-up daughters and a teenage son. Martin was previously the Vicar of St Dunstan’s, Cranbrook in Kent but was trained as a professional clarinet player and following studies in London and Berlin, worked in Sweden and Scotland. Martin loves visiting people in their homes to discuss whatever is on their heart. If you are thinking about a baptism, a wedding, or planning a funeral for a loved one, then do call the office and Martin will get back to you quickly.

Our Youth and Children’s Pastor is Lee Pinner. Lee has been leading the youth and children’s work since September 2005. He is ably assisted in this by his wife, Trish, and they have 2 sons and a young daughter.

Wendy Peck oversees the Pastoral Care Team – offering a listening ear, some practical help and prayer support to those both with Christchurch, and in our local community.

Our Administrator is Michelle Stanton. Michelle can be found in the Church Office each weekday morning from 09 00 – 12 00. She will deal with any enquiries you may have about anything that happens at church – from the various services (Sundays, weddings, baptisms, etc), to planning events, or hiring out rooms at the church.
